The baby blue wildebeest was spotted wandering off from the crowd and ends up getting its mother confused with a baby blue Hyundai.
Running as quickly as its little legs can take it, the calf ends up eventually catching up with the car, which slows itself down to a stop.
However, even upon seeing the car, the beast continues chasing it.
Zaheer and, his wife, Asma Ali shot this rare video while in the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park, South Africa.
Zaheer said: “We were afraid for him as he was all alone and vulnerable in prolific lion and cheetah territory.
“But at the same time, we felt excited because we knew how rare this sighting was.
“We followed the calf for about 2kms when the calf decided to follow another car that was passing in the opposite direction.
“But eventually the herd of wildebeest appeared, and within five seconds the mother came running towards him and they were reunited.”
